The Origin of the Name

That’s right, I admit it, I accept full credit for coming up with the phrase. When Travis (site creator and co-admin) and I worked together at a grocery store in our hometown, we always tried to keep things interesting. It was boring work, and we had nothing better to do but to terrorize our fellow coworkers. One night, when all the customers were gone, we were stocking separate aisles, and I happened upon a turkey baster that was in the wrong place. Well wouldn’t you know, Travis was on the aisle where the turkey baster’s are kept. I walked over to his aisle, he looked up from the scanning gun, and the only thing I could think to say was “WELL HELLO THERE TURKEY BASTER BUDDY!”, and I waved the turkey baster in front of him. That is where the name comes from. Random? Yes. Funny? Maybe. Absolutely ridiculous? Well, now, I don’t know about that…
